Effect of Muscle Fatigue on the Upper Trapezius Muscle With and Without Myofascial Trigger Points in Students With Neck Pain: A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial

چکیده

Objectives: The purpose of this work was to explore cervical position sense and electromyographic (EMG) responses muscles during head repositioning movements in students with without upper trapezius muscle trigger points. Materials Methods: Forty-six right-handed men women subjects extremity disorders participated study. maximal voluntary contraction (MVC) measured three time before the fatigue test. A force gauge used measure while recording a monitor. Measurement initiated MVC after pain positioning were measured. When protocol accomplished, showed signs exhaustion; however, they not subjectively evaluated for fatigue. As aimed at assessing fatigue, level 80% induced. Results: These findings support argument that precision neck can be reduced by muscle. Fatigue impaired balance muscles. After removing vision resulted an increased center pressure excursions on platform. Motor control did change significantly Conclusions: had more significant effect kinematics healthy subjects, probably due fact altered motor volunteers implied these individuals completely able make up Significant changes identified following applied pre-determined myofascial points, but insignificant sham group.

The Effect Of Selective Neck Muscle Release Techniques On Clinical Indicators of Patients with Migraine Headache: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Objective: Subjects with migraine headache often have stiff posture, especially in the head and neck. Also, these patients often have reduced cervical range of motion, faulty posture, forward head posture, increased sensitivity on the cervical muscles, and myofascial pain syndrome. Myofascial Trigger Points (MTrPs) are considered as the contributing factors to migraine headache. They produce pa...

Re: "Dry Needling Alters Trigger Points in the Upper Trapezius Muscle and Reduces Pain in Subjects with Chronic Myofascial Pain".

OBJECTIVE To determine whether dry needling of an active myofascial trigger point (MTrP) reduces pain and alters the status of the trigger point to either a non-spontaneously tender nodule or its resolution. DESIGN A prospective, nonrandomized, controlled, interventional clinical study. SETTING University campus. PARTICIPANTS A total of 56 subjects with neck or shoulder girdle pain of mor...

Skeletal muscle contractility, self-reported pain and tissue sensitivity in females with neck/shoulder pain and upper Trapezius myofascial trigger points– a randomized intervention study

BACKGROUND In relation to Myofascial Triggerpoints (MFTrPs) of the upper Trapezius, this study explored muscle contractility characteristics, the occurrence of post-intervention muscle soreness and the effect of dry needling on muscle contractile characteristics and clinical outcomes. METHODS Seventy-seven female office workers (25-46yrs) with and without neck/shoulder pain were observed with...

Comparison of Positional Release Technique with and without strain-counter strain technique on the pain, neck range of motion in men with active trigger points in upper trapezius muscle

Aims and background: Trigger points are sensitive points in the skeletal muscle and neck muscles that cause referral pain, decrease the range of motion and muscle soreness. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to compare the effect of the Positional Release Technique with and without strain-counter strain technique on the pain, neck range of motion in men with active trigger points in uppe...
